Ski test: K2 Poacher (season 2016-17)

Interest to this skis is caused by the fact that they replaced the very successful model of skis from K2 - 102 Shreditor that this season was removed from production and replaced by these. During the test it is important to determine whether this model is successful replacement for Shreditor or they are absolutely different.

That is not a replacement of Shreditor and it becomes clear on the first couple of turns. The difference is that Shreditor was a freeski ski and there was big riding component. Poacher is a park ski with all the ensuing consequences. Ski essentially lost in riding. Almost no carving. Definitely less passability and off-piste versatility. Increased ease of operation and agility in fun riding.

Poacher in not worser then Shreditor - they are different. They are more for snow parks. But they are same fun, dynamic and versatile in terms of style of riding as Shreditor. They lost comparison to Shreditor but still remained quite top Freeski skis. In comparison with similar products from other companies they are definitely one of the best skis that combines park and riding and the fun of riding in varied comditions.

Regardless of the quality of a slope condition skis eats out all the irragularities and transform irregularities into playground. The hard and icy slope they effectively cling to the slope and gives a confident sense of control. At the speed have no sense of lack noses that constantly appears on skis for park. Of course, to get stability you need to constantly load their noses and give them away in a cross slip because at speed they like to come off from the trajectory, but it can not be attributed to the category of problem - ski easily can be loaded, tips do not slam at the speed and handling is very high. As a result, greate skis with a good combination of freestyle and regular riding.
