Elan has two very good skis: GSX and 16Ti2. More precisely were. This year, as part of the update lines, another model 18Ti2 was added to them. And then the questions arose: better, worse, how are they now combined with each other and what new can the new model bring to this already-successful pair? Well, here it is the moment of truth. Here they are on the track and you can drive and find out everything personally in skiing.

As part of the evaluation of the ski data, I want to focus on the general condition of the category or class, especially since they are on tests outside the categories, and on comparison with their sisters in the Elan catalogue which I have already mentioned above and which I really liked in many aspects. I will remind you. I liked them because of their insane variability in the rhythm of skiing, which made it possible to get a fan in speed skiing on public roads and to easily handle both traffic and not always the ideal state of the tracks. It pleased me and I will evaluate these skis, first of all, in how much they work out in this way and only then everything else.

In skiing, right from the first turns, my desire to compare and evaluate them by variability, loyalty and variety of skiting completely killed me. They can not be compared with the sisters in the catalogue because it is a completely different ski and there is nothing in common between them.

Skis are very, very hard. No, this is not a ski with a little enhanced stiffness. This is a completely new and completely stiff ski. These are two rails. They have a tough one: the tip, the tail, and the middle. And it completely forms their skiting.

Their rhythm of riding is very fast - more than 18 meters. It is unrealistic to bend them into a smaller radius without disrupting the trajectory, at least on the condition of the route that I came across on the tests. The sock can be pushed through only by trying very hard and only flatly when it is possible to rest them against the track. But, it is necessary to understand and be prepared for the fact that when you finish it, or you will have to unload it, or it will fly off the path and go past the turn. As a result, no matter how you load your noses at the entrance, the turn will be your own which is more than 18 meters. The middle of the arc, too, does not bend. She's like a scrap. From the tail, you can squeeze a slight decrease in radius only because it is more tenacious but only insignificant. Again, in this case, you need to be sure that you will have time to emerge from the rear pillar before the skis carry you in acceleration. In addition, there is a problem with stability. At the speed at which the skis want to go, they lack either the length of the rim or the kember to ensure a decent level of stability. As a result, skis are very sensitive to the condition of the track and even minor tussocks can lead to a significant loss of stability.

In a sliding turn, the skis are not only difficult to drive and require constant attention and accuracy in handling, but also very uncomfortable. Constantly, on any condition, the tracks are beaten in the legs, they feel very heavy in sensations and are very physically exhausting in sating. They don’t give anything interesting in skiting and we must constantly fight them. With stability, constant problems and we must load so that they do not jump, but any load leads to discomfort and skis hit in the legs. I do not want to accelerate. You can ski only in the format of the classic frequent re-bordering without aggression and without speed when only skidding is required for skis.

For beginners, lies are definitely contraindicated. Only if the beginner is focused only on classical skiing. Experts of modern skiing and carving will not be interested in skiing. They are suitable only for lovers of the old school and the classics, and even then only those who understand skis as a physical exercise with a mandatory load, because only in such skiing can they give that level of tenacity that allows you to ride, regardless of condition or slope, and skis will force to work. But, they will not give dynamism in such skiing and therefore in such skiing, from the point of view of skiing values, and not physical culture, will not be interesting. As a result, we have that it is not skis, but a simulator for working on the development of the physical form.
